The Studio

Robotboy Studios is an independent project studio in Eugene, Oregon dedicated to creating a safe, exciting and creative atmosphere where artists can do their best work. The most important aspect of any recording is always the performance. At Robotboy I have worked very hard to create a space that inspires great performances as well as capture them.

But you still need quality gear and the knowledge to use it. Robotboy has you covered with a gear list that includes, a Toft ATB 32 channel console, AML and CAPI preamps, Presonus Quantum conversion, new, vintage and custom built guitar amplifiers, a full Gretsch Catalina Maple drum kit with a collection of vintage snares and vintage Zildjian cymbals, 1959 Hammond C3 organ with Leslie speaker, 1952 Baldwin Acrosonic Piano, Yamaha DX7 Synthesizer, Korg Minilogue Synthesizer, Yamaha RX5 drum machine, custom built condenser microphones as well as vintage microphones from Shure, Rode, AKG, Sennheiser and Electro-Voice. Many of these pieces I have repaired or built myself giving me a unique perspective on how to get the most out of my gear.

Most importantly, I understand that making music is a highly personal endeavor that requires trust. I am committed to giving EVERY project the attention it deserves. Whether it’s a rough demo or a full length commercial release, I am honored when you entrusts me with your music.

My experience with Kyle was great at Robotboy! He was professional, kind, and works quickly. He let us try out a lot of weird/different things we wanted to use as background tracks and spent the time and lots of takes on things like vocal and guitar tracks until we were feeling good about them, never feeling rushed. We were super comfortable at the studio and ended up coming back quite a few days to finish our album and each time was awesome. I’m happy to say I’ll be coming in with a different group to track this month as well! We will definitely be back and definitely love Kyle, Eugene is lucky to have him and his studio.

Kyle always brings a ton of positivity and motivation to our recording sessions, and it's super easy working with him. He's been extremely dedicated to making us sound great at both the recording and mixing stage, and helped contribute some excellent ideas along the way to make the mixes shine. Recording has always gone really smoothly with him, and he's never settled for a less than awesome sound.
